13 Weeks Pregnant

April 25, 2012

Hey guys! So I am feeling much better this week, I'll be in my second trimester next week! The past few weeks I have actually been feeling a lot better. It was a gradual change, but I am loving it! No more fatigue, there hasn't been any nausea for the past couple weeks or so, so everything is wonderful right now. I still have a lot of the same symptoms, however. I still have to get up in the middle of the night to pee, but that's only going to get worse. I am still a bit irritable, but I am working on that. I don't want to use my pregnancy as an excuse as to why I'm irritable, but sometimes you just can't help it.

Many of you keep asking me for belly pictures, I am not going to do that until about 15-20 weeks. I don't feel like I'm showing very much at all, and not to mention I already have a "fat pooch", I don't want you to get the 2 confused. Hahaha! But, once I hit the halfway mark, you'll definitely be able to tell I am pregnant!
As for the ultrasound photos, I am not going to post those for awhile (if ever), because I am not comfortable with hate comments about my baby. Not that anyone has bashed on my baby before, but babies do look a little weird while in the embryo and fetus stages, and I don't want any hateful comments towards the way my baby looks. Hate me all you want, but leave my family and friends out of it. Some people are just too ignorant to get that through their fat heads.
I do use stretch mark lotion, I have been using it since I found out I was pregnant and decided to keep my baby, so pretty much instantly after I knew I was pregnant. I heard it really helps, I have a couple friends who started using it right away and do not have stretch marks. But everyone is different, so we will see! I really hope I don't get any, though.
Anyway, thank you all for such wonderful comments, thank you for subscribing to me on youtube, and thank you SO much for your support. You really have no idea how amazing each and every one of you are.  ALSO! If you are pregnant, I suggest downloading an app on your phone for pregnancy tracking, they are so neat. They let you know exactly how far along you are (if you know your due date), and how much more time you have to go. It also tells you what your baby's progress is like for that week and what is happening to and in your body. I suggest the "Baby Bump" app. I love it! If you don't have a smart phone, a great site that does the same thing is babycenter.com, you have to sign up so it will send you a weekly update on your pregnancy! It's good to know what is going on!

12 Weeks Pregnant

April 20, 2012

So I feel like the weeks are going by kind of fast! Only a week and a half until I'm done with my first trimester! This week is going smoothly. I have gotten my appetite back 100 percent. I also don't have anymore nausea! I don't feel sick thinking about any food now, which I am super thankful for. I can eat anything when I am hungry, and I don't have to worry about feeling sick! I get a bit dizzy and light headed sometimes if I am standing in a warm room, or if I haven't eaten for a few hours. But that is something that is very easy to fix.

I am still exhausted. All, the, time. It's not a very fun part of pregnancy, but then again, I can't really think of any part of pregnancy that is fun! The reason pregnant women are so tired all the time is because when asleep, their bodies are still working to develop the baby, making it impossible for the body to actually rest. I'm just waiting for the day that I have a ton of energy! Hopefully in my second trimester, but we will see, all people are different.

I don't usually have any cravings, but lately I've been liking cheese a lot. I love cheese in the first place, but lately I REALLY love cheese. I actually made homemade macaroni and cheese today! It is delicious! I also like to eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables still. Not only do they taste good, but they make me feel good also, they are just very refreshing.

I am starting to have to get up a lot again in the middle of the night to pee. It is very disturbing. I understand that when the baby is here I won't get to sleep much for 18 years! BUT, I am trying to enjoy my sleep while I still can. I've heard that it only gets worse from here on out, (the peeing part), especially when the baby has grown to pounds and is pushing on your bladder constantly.

I haven't really started showing yet, not noticeably anyway, but apparently our little fella is about the size of a peach now! It's insane, before I know it I'll be ready to pop! I have my next doctor appointment on May 7, my birthday! I don't think we'll be finding out the gender at that point, though. The next appointment after that is on June 4, I am pretty sure we'll find out the gender that day! I am so excited!

Again, I want to thank everyone for all of the wonderful support, it is greatly appreciated!

11 Weeks Pregnant

April 17, 2012

So by this week, I do not feel as nauseas anymore. I have my appetite back for the most part. Sometimes food still doesn't sound very good, but most of the time I can actually eat something without thinking it's disgusting. So I am very happy about that! I am still pretty tired all day every day, but like I said, hopefully that gets better in my second trimester! Most pregnant women do feel better in their second trimester, I really hope I'm one of them.

I still have to pee frequently. However, it isn't as bad as it was earlier in my pregnancy. Instead of having to wake up 4 times a night, I only have to wake up once or twice. But I know that it's going to get worse again later on. I'm enjoying my sleep while I can! Pretty soon I won't be able to sleep well, and I am aware of that. I love sleeping, but what can you do? Time to grow up and start going to bed at a descent hour!

All of my symptoms from week 10 are pretty much the same, besides no more nausea and I don't have to pee as much in the middle of the night. I am a lot more irritable lately, and that's not fun for whoever is around me all the time. I really hate being irritated, and I hate snapping at people when they don't deserve it, but I'm pregnant.. what can you do? I still try my hardest not to be that way, but sometimes my hormones get the best of me. Let me tell you, I just cannot wait to not be pregnant anymore! Everyone says the time goes by fast, but for me it feels like it's going by so slow! It's probably because I'm not in school or anything right now. Although I plan on going to cosmetology school sometime next year! Beauty and style is my passion. And having a career that I love that can support my family would be the best thing in the world!

So that pretty much sums it up for my 11 weeks of pregnancy! I just want to say thank you again to everyone who is there for me supporting me all the way! I love you all.

10 Weeks Pregnant

April 17, 2012

I was so nervous the first time I went to see my obgyn. I was nervous for the ultrasound especially. I've never done any of this before, so it was all so new to me. My boyfriend and I went together, and the first thing my doctor did was try to hear the heartbeat. At this point I wasn't even sure how far along I was. It bothered me for awhile not knowing how far along I was. We couldn't hear a heartbeat, the doctor told me that it is sometimes hard to hear around 9 or 10 weeks. So she did an ultrasound, and it was the craziest thing I've ever seen in my whole entire life, to see my baby. It still feels weird saying that, I'm not used to it yet. Although we couldn't hear the heartbeat, we could see it. It was very touching, I may only be 19, but I know I can do this. My mom had me when she was 20, and she did a great job with my sisters and I. Anyhow, I had guesstimated that I was at least 9 weeks, but the doctor let me know that I was actually 10 weeks and 2 days. I do not feel comfortable posting a photo of my ultrasound on the internet.

So the whole 10 weeks that I've been pregnant, I haven't had any morning sickness. Well, I've had nausea and occasionally dizziness, but I never actually threw up. My nausea was never really that bad anyway. I had lost my appetite for most things, especially foods that I normally love. I mostly felt like eating fresh, raw foods, like fruits, vegetables, and nuts. We didn't always have that kind of food in our house, though. So I usually just had to force myself to eat, because I didn't want to starve and not get the nutrients that my body needs. By the second trimester, you need to be eating an extra 350 calories a day.

During the first 10 weeks, I'd been waking up numerous times during the night to pee. As we all know, frequent urination is one of the top symptoms of pregnancy. I usually would wake up about 3 or 4 times in the middle of the night because I had to pee so badly, it's crazy to me how your bladder can be so full every few hours while pregnant. It's definitely not fun having to wake up from a deep sleep just to go pee, especially when you're doing it 4 times a night!

Another symptom I've been having, TIREDNESS! That's the one I hate the most. Being tired all the time makes it hard to be active, and I absolutely hate being lazy! I still try to ride my bike, go on walks, or just do anything that gets my heart rate up every day. But like every other normal person in the world, I have my lazy days. I hope it gets better during my second trimester, almost there! We'll see! Sore breasts is another one. They hurt pretty bad, they are very sore and sensitive. I hate that as well. As far as symptoms go, I think I pretty much covered all of mine!

I'm sure you've noticed from my videos that I've been dying my hair, and bleaching it. I have done tons of research before dying it, and it is perfectly SAFE. The only thing that can be harmful is the fumes from the bleach or dye. And that is even harmful to a non pregnant person, which is why you need to make sure you are in a well ventilated room, I was in a very well ventilated room, RIGHT next to the window. Also, tons of women told me that they dyed their hair and bleached it while pregnant, and their babies were fine. Just don't breathe in the fumes! My aunt is a hair stylist, she told me that it is safe, and she has a kid! So for the ignorant people out there posting on my videos telling me that I'm harming my baby, I'd really appreciate it if you did your research before speaking! I don't even eat food before looking it up to make sure it's safe!
